Frequently Asked Questions
-
We’ll start by having a chat - a ‘discovery chat’ if you will - to figure out if it’s a good fit (it usually is!). This is your chance to tell me about your vision for your project and these photos, the timeline and project scope. If you’re local, let’s grab a coffee/beer. If you’re further afield, we’ll have a video call.
If you decide you’d like to move forward with booking a shoot after that initial chat, I will send over a shoot contract, you’ll pay a deposit, and we’ll lock in a shoot date! Before the shoot day, we will have an on-site walkthrough (where possible), and/or a pre-shoot meeting to figure out all the little details e.g. the shotlist, any format requirements I should know about etc.
Next, the shoot day! YAY! The best bit. I will coordinate everything to run as smoothly as possible, making sure every image or scene is created with precision and care. I know building timelines can be a mess, and we will keep things relaxed and adjust as needed to keep your project stress-free and on track.
After the shoot, I will send you a proofing gallery within a day or two. Here, you will make your selects for images you’d like to license, and I will spend the next week or two editing your final images.
And finally - your final gallery of images will be delivered! You’ll receive a curated collection of polished stills or films that showcase your work beautifully — ready for web, print, or award submissions. Any revisions that need to be made can be tackled at this point, but our hope is that because of our careful planning beforehand, that won’t be necessary.
We book our next shoot together!

The better question is “How many do I capture vs how many do I deliver”?
Even if we only have 15 shots on our official ‘shotlist’ for the day, I will probably still take 100-300 photos in the day. I love to take photos. I love to experiment and let the light and the space lead me … I WILL get distracted from the shotlist and it WILL be worth it, because if something about a space forces me to notice it, it’s usually dying to have it’s photo taken.
I have delivered 15 final images. I have delivered 70 final images. That’s up to you.
That’s the beauty of the proofing gallery - you only pay to license selected images YOU personally select after the shoot.

I am an architect by trade, and a life-long hobby photographer. For the last 4 years I’ve merged the two.
Whilst working as an architect, I would spend hours - HOURS, in every type of weather imaginable - outside of work documenting the cities that I lived in. London, New York, Nottingham. I guess technically it was street photography, and I was obsessed with how people interacted with the city, and how light would transform regular street corners or facades into mind blowing beauty. I want to bring my passion of capturing the built world into the space you’ve poured your heart and soul into for the past 2, 3, 5 years! I will go above and beyond - early morning, late night, whatever it takes to tell the story.
I trained as a designer, and I think like a photographer. I think that makes me someone you want to photograph your work.

This fluctuates depending on business and project scope. You will have your finished photos within 1-3 weeks.

Each project is different depending on scope, but usually I work with a standard day rate and a per-image post processing fee. To figure out rough costs, use the Pricing Calculator below to get a rough gauge of what it will cost to photograph your project.

Honestly? Phenomenal. No bias here.

There are two ways to make a shoot with me stay within a set budget.
Let me know your budget upfront, and if it’s very tight, I will take less photos. Simple. Or, if i’ve taken a bunch and you still want to keep costs as low as possible, you can simply select less photos in the proofing gallery.
Cost Sharing - use the calculator below to see how INCREDIBLE cost sharing can be and how much money it can save you. Literally THOUSANDS. If you want to buddy up with another party who was involved on the design e.g. the architect and the builder, then you can share the project costs. For each additional party, I add a small amount and the total project cost is split evenly. Play around with the sliders below to see what I mean.

The short answer is no.
The gear required and setup for each is just too different, so usually we will require 2 separate days in order to capture photo and video on individual days.
Having said that, if the project is tiny e.g. we are shooting a single room, we may be able to make both work. Let’s chat.

Yes I do, photo and video.
